Vineyard
With 52,000 ha of vines in appellation, the Loire Valley is the third largest vineyard in France. There are 86 appellations and denominations, with 6 major grape varieties :

- Melon de Bourgogne (Muscadet),
- Sauvignon Blanc.
The Loire Valley is the first producer of appellation white wines.
